For traditional HP ammo, this is the best performing 185gr +P defense ammo I have ever researched. It is as hot as Underwood 185 +P Nosler and XTP ammo which I really like. However, this Guardian Gold does both incredible wound channel trauma and penetration of 15"-16". Even some of the best 230gr HP ammo only penetrate 14-15" like Federal HST, and Hornady 220 gr Critical Duty. So, how can anyone complain about this ammo? The higher velocity really causes quite the stretch cavity in length and width. This lighter weight bullet is especially good for shorter barrel 45's too.
This is one of my most trusted rounds for an expanding HP defense round.
