370 SAKO MAGNUM

370 SAKO magnum ammo is a 9.3 x 66 mm round designed for big game hunting. The cartridge falls on the lower side of the big game cartridges, but is still quite powerful. 370 SAKO is a big and powerful round, but is more capable of taking animals like big cats, and bears, and due to its size allows them to be taken with little damage done to the hides. This round is an excellent trophy hunting round, and spares the game from too much damage to make an effective mount.

The round is softer shooting than the more powerful 450 Nitro Express, or other brutal shoulder killer calibers. 370 SAKO can push a 286 grain round at 2,550 feet per second. This may not seem impressive stacked against other African rounds, but it does lend to the softer nature of the round. 370 SAKO ammunition is capable of utilizing a standard length action instead of a long magnum length.
