6MM REMINGTON Ammo
The 6mm Remington is a product of the 1950s wildcatting scene. First the 7x57mm Mauser was turned into the 257 Roberts; then the 257 Roberts was turned into the 6mm Rem. It’s a high-velocity long-distance hunting rifle round that’s suitable for deer and heavier game, although it’s quite the capable varmint load in conjunction with a slower barrel twist. Choose 85+ grain bullets for larger game, and 55 or 65 grain bullets for lil’ critters.
