With Sig-Sauer's recently released Elite Performance Ammunition, you can now have the precision you expect from your Sig-Sauer firearm manufactured into your ammunition. Made in a Sig-Sauer owned facility right here in the USA, the V-Crown JHP topped rounds provide an excellent balance of penetration and expansion across a range of velocities. This ammo is brass cased, nickel coated, boxer primed, non-magnetic and non-corrosive. This ammo comes packaged 20rds to a box. Muzzle Velocity: 918 fps.

Gel test Results
In hopes of giving ourselves and our customers a better idea how this 45 ACP (Auto) self-defense ammo would perform if called upon in a self-defense scenario, we tested dozens of the best selling hollow points on the market.
We fired five rounds of this Sig Sauer 45 ACP (Auto) ammo through a cloth barrier into Clear Ballistics calibrated synthetic gelatin and recorded the results. For these tests, we used a Ruger SR45 with a -inch barrel. In the photos, graphics and video on this page, you can see specifically how the Sig Sauer ammo performed and how it sticks up with the rest of the 45 ACP (Auto) ammo we have tested so far.

Ammo shot to point of aim in 3 inch barrel Kimber Ultra 1911. Has about same recoil as Hornady critical defense. The Critical Defense shoots above point of aim in my gun even being a lighter bullet. Tested shooting bucket of water and it expanded to 7/8 inch. This ammo also feeds as good as fmj hardball. My new carry ammo for this weapon. I use Speer Gold Dot short barrel for my 4 inch and Federal HST in my 5 inch guns.
