.444 MARLIN Ammo

The 444 Marlin (aka 10.9x57mmR) was introduced to the commercial market in 1964. It was intended as a replacement for the 45-70 Government, which had virtually vanished from the market at the time. The straight-walled lever-action rifle cartridge is akin to a longer, stronger 44 Magnum, and can accelerate a 240 grain projectile to a velocity of ~2,350 fps before clearing a 24” barrel’s muzzle.
