The 300 Precision Rifle Cartridge (aka 300 PRC) is Hornady’s state-of-the-art long-range hunting and target cartridge. It is designed to offer an effective range that exceeds 1,500 yards – but without kicking as violently as the 338 Lapua Magnum. Hornady is the only manufacturer which offers 300 PRC ammo at present. Their Match series ammo features a 225 grain ELD projectile; Outfitter, 190 grain lead-free CX; Precision Hunter, 212 grain ELD-X.
