7.65 ARGENTINE
The 7.65x53 Argentine (aka 7.65x53mm Mauser or 7.65 Argentine) was originally developed for use in Belgium’s Mauser Model 1889. It saw widespread military service across the world right up until the Congo Crisis of the early ‘60s, and now enjoys a well-earned retirement as a hunting cartridge. The original 7.65x53 Argentine military round had a 210.7 grain round nose projectile. A more ballistically efficient 173.6 grain boat tail spitzer bullet was eventually adopted, but 150 and 180 grain commercial loads are also available.
