6.5 CARCANO Ammo

The 6.5x52mm Carcano (aka 6.5x52mm Parravicini-Carcano, or 6.5x52mm Mannlicher-Carcano) was the Italian military’s standard service rifle cartridge from the late 19th century until the 1970s. It’s acceptable for medium game within ranges up to 250 yards, though its key role in the JFK assassination and reportedly inconsistent accuracy have both contributed toward its unpopularity in America.
