This package contains 20 rounds of .223 red tracer ammunition. Manufactured to true military specifications, this ammo is safe to shoot from any weapon chambered for .223 rounds.
Developed specifically as an aiming aid for military personnel, red tracer ammunition provided a simple way for shooters to visually track their shot trajectories. WIth visual confirmation, shooters could then adjust their point of aim to compensate without seeing the round’s actual impact.
Each tracer round features a special pyrotechnic charge which produces bright red trail when the primer ignites the propellant powders. The trace begins immediately upon firing and continues to trace for up to 400 yards. These bright red trails are vibrant and visible especially at night, but are bright enough to easily see even in bright, sunny shooting conditions.
This ammunition is available for civilian use as a novelty round. However, these rounds are lethal and all standard safety measures should be followed when shooting. Tracer rounds may also pose a mild fire hazard and special care should be used to avoid firing into dry vegetation or other highly combustible materials.
