Hornady didn’t pull out all the stops when they made these cartridges. That’s because they’re intended for plinking, high-volume target shooting, and other kinds of gunwork which doesn’t require sophisticated bullets. The nonmagnetic 55 grain full metal jacket is precisely the friend you need when you’re shooting for fun or practice. (Sure, it’ll deal damage to living targets, albeit without terminal ballistics that include expansion.)

Hornady didn’t technically make this ammo. The feds’ Lake City Army Ammunition Plant did, which means you get the same military-grade primers, powder and brass that you could have gotten for free if you had just gone to your nearest military base and asked nicely. (Ha ha we are kidding don’t actually try that lol.)
