20rds - 223 Corbon 50gr Varmint Grenade Ammo Details
Corbon Ammunition has become a well-respected name in the industry and is best known for its high-performance designs and unsurpassed quality control system. Proud to be family-owned and operated for more than 30 years, Corbon’s modern production facility is located in Sturgis, South Dakota.
Each factory fresh .223 Remington cartridge is loaded with a 50 grain lead-free Varmint Grenade hollow point projectile. Introduced by Barnes in 2007, Varmint Grenade bullets quickly become one of the most popular varmint bullets on the market. These unique flat-base, hollow point projectiles were originally developed for military applications and feature a copper-tin composite core surrounded by a gilding-metal jacket.
The composite core of the Varmint Grenade bullet is highly frangible, producing instant fragmentation upon impact. This makes them a devastating choice for squirrels and prairie dogs. On larger predators, like bobcats and coyotes, the fragmenting bullet dumps its energy early. Because the Varmint Grenade rarely exits these larger animals, valuable pelts are saved from damaging exit wounds.
This reloadable ammunition is non-corrosive, boxer primed, and brass cased. Each round produces a consistent muzzle velocity of 3000 feet per second and a muzzle energy of 999 foot pounds. Each package contains 20 rounds.
