This is .223 DRS 55gr. Soft Point Ammo. This ammo is manufactured by DRS using once fired Lake City brass, Mil-Spec Ball Powder and Hornady 55gr. Soft Point bullets. Muzzle Velocity of 3,240fps. This is excellent ammo for using on ranges that do not allow FMJ ammo. Brass cased, boxer primed, non-corrosive. It comes packed loose.

1000's of rounds of this ammo in two different ar15, zero issues, two inch circle at 100y. Best 223 ammo for the money period.

Positive function out of 14.5" mid length gas, H buffer, Tubbs spring. Reliable ignition, probably fairly close to advertised velocities.<br />

That's where the good ends. ~300 rounds later and I have yet to see any accuracy beyond paper plate sized groups at 100 yards out of two different rifles. Couldn't believe it at first, but it's definitely the ammo - steel cased will consistently out shoot this, and that stuff is 3-4" @ 100 yards at best. Maybe it's just their JSP 55gr, but I will not be buying any more.
