Barnes Bullets 115 Grain Solid Copper Hollow Point (SCHP) Ammo Details
This 9mm +P cartridge is from Barnes’ TAC-XPD line of ammunition. That means its 115 grain projectile is a TAC-XP, an all copper hollow point. Rather than a jacket wound around a core, this bullet is comprised of one single component, and a tough one at that. It’s able to retain an exceptional amount of its weight even for having passed a wall or a car door, and it keeps itself together as it burrows through a threat as well. The TAC-XP is an expanding bullet, which ensures the wound channel it delivers will be wide in addition to deep. This round’s new production brass casing is plated with Techni-Crom, which excels over traditional nickel at reducing friction to facilitate a high rate of fire. The two layer treatment is highly resistant to corrosion as well; It resists salt fog corrosion four times better than a traditional brass casing would alone. Such reliability is of the essence for a self-defense load -- Barnes’ is going to be ready for you when you need it.
