Federal Ammunition 62 Grain Soft-Point (SP) Ammo Details

This 223 Rem cartridge is from Federal’s Law Enforcement line of ammunition, and offers the great reliability that law enforcement professionals rely on daily to stay safe at their jobs. The round’s 62 grain projectile features a bonded jacket, so it is able to retain a great deal of its weight as it penetrates deeply within a threat. It will expand widely all the while as it does so, as its exposed core and jacket peel away while burrowing within a soft target.

This round also features a nickel plated brass casing. That added layer of metal not only enhances the round’s lubricity for better feeding and ejection through an AR-15, but provides resistance to corrosion so that you can be certain your self-defense ammo will be ready whenever you need it. This round’s primer is non-corrosive, another factor which contributes greatly to its superior longevity.

If you need a round for your 556/223 for barrier penetration with devastating terminal performance this round is the best. It is expensive specialized round used in Law Enforcement to defeat steel, auto glass, and still deliver a hard hitting expanding round.
