Sellier & Bellot Ammunition 150 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details

The supersonic burst that follows when you pull a trigger is in many situations very satisfying. For example, listening to the hearty boom echo back and forth against the hilltops after you’ve fired a rifle often marks the final phase of a successful hunt. Sometimes a loud report isn’t welcome, however, such as when you’re training in close proximity to people with delicate sensibilities, teaching a rookie to shoot who’s inclined to flinch, or using a silencer. Fortunately, your shots needn’t be very loud at all when you’re firing subsonic ammunition like this fine 9mm round by Sellier & Bellot.

With its muzzle velocity of only 1,000 fps, this cartridge falls well below the supersonic threshold, and as such is relatively very quiet. Its 150 grain projectile is large for its caliber, and necessarily so to compensate for its lesser speed. The bullet’s full metal jacket disposes it perfectly for high volume shooting, which you’re entitled to do a lot of with 1,000 rounds to work through, as it will keep your bore cleaner for longer.

While this may be a novel ammunition, Czech giant Sellier & Bellot treats its production with just as much care as they would any of their other products. It features a factory fresh brass casing, reliable Boxer primer, and clean burning propellant which will treat your action and bore gently.
