20rds – 223 Rem Hornady BLACK 75gr. BTHP Match Ammo
Hornady Ammunition 75 Grain Hollow-Point Boat Tail (HP-BT) Ammo Details
Accuracy. It’s your mother’s maiden name. It’s your middle name. It’s your dog’s middle name, too. If you’re sick and tired of firing 223 Rem ammo that doesn’t live up to your highest expectations for accuracy, then we’ve got just the fix: Hornady BLACK!Why is this the perfect cartridge for punching out the dead center of a bullseye? It’s all about that boat tail hollow point Match projectile, which wears Hornady’s abnormally concentric Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket. Bust out the microscope – you still won’t see any runout or wall thickness variation in the AMP jacket. The BTHP Match also features a drag-minimizing secant ogive profile, as well as a swaged lead core which doesn’t contain imperfections that could throw the bullet’s trajectory off kilter.
This round’s bullet is a hefty lad. Its large 75 grain weight contributes a lot to its high 0.395 G1 ballistic coefficient, which means it has the momentum it needs to resist wind deflection. Zero in at 300 yards when there’s a 10 mph crosswind coming in at a 90 degree angle, and the bullet should only get pushed around 8” to the side by the time it reaches its objective.

I am shooting 1/2 groups at 100yds from my AR-Right out of the box with this bullet. Heavy bullet really pays off. Enjoy
