BioAmmo patented an environmentally friendly substitute for plastic that they call “biopolymer.” It’s rigid, it’s lightweight, and most importantly it is 100% vegetable based. You leave biopolymer outside, and within 24 months it’s going to get gobble-gobbled up by bacteria and fungi. Nothing toxic will remain, and even this ammo’s alloy heads will eventually wear away into dust. Mother Earth will give you props!
You don’t want to be the turkey or pheasant who gets shot with this ammo, though. Its 1-1/8 ounces of #4 shot is loaded to a peppery muzzle velocity of 1,312 fps, and those rigid lead pellets hit hard. BioAmmo’s bio-compostable wad is also designed with a compression zone to absorb felt recoil, and its broad side vents let it fan out petals to promote cleaner detachment from the dense-patterning shot.
