Each factory fresh cartridge is topped with a 165 grain polymer-tipped GMX Heavy Barrier projectile. These proprietary bullets are constructed of a monolithic copper alloy. Cleaner than pure copper, GMX bullets produce significantly less barrel fouling than standard lead ammo, yet deliver destructive terminal performance. GMX bullets are capable of penetrating heavy urban barriers (including 1-inch laminated glass) while providing remarkable weight retention and reliable terminal expansion.
Leaving the muzzle at a velocity of 2611 feet per second, these loads should not be used where over-penetration is a concern. This ammo is assembled with premium components, including temperature-stable flash-retardant powders, reliable boxer primers, and match grade composite brass cases.
