PMC Ammunition 147 Grain Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail (FMJ-BT) Ammo Details

Whether you're sporting a tack-driving bolt-gun or chasing split times with your SCAR-17s, you'll find that these 7.62mm NATO rounds are perfect for any training or plinking activity. These cartridges are manufactured closely to military specification and feature annealed brass casings which are safe for reloading due to their flexible necks and shoulders; this also contributes to proper chamber pressure for consistent performance and reliable semi-automatic function. Each case is fitted with a non-corrosive Boxer primer which is accompanied by red sealant that blocks moisture and preserves reliability in any condition.


This 7.62x51mm cartridge profile is topped with a 147 grain full metal jacket (FMJ) projectile with a boat trail rear for drag resistance. This fits the bill for classic "M80 Ball" ammo used by numerous military forces and provides high fidelity training recoil and flight characteristics. Each bullet has a ribbed cannelure at its crimp diameter that positively locks on to the casing to prevent setback caused by recoil and repeat chambering; this not only increases accuracy but cuts down on the possibility of a dud-fire. PMC is South Korea's sole supplier of ammunition and builds their products using components that are manufactured completely in-house. Their export ammo follows the very same standards and meticulous inspection guidelines which are trusted to support their military and NATO allies.
