PMC Ammunition 185 Grain Jacketed Hollow-Point (JHP) Ammo Details

PMC has designed these .45 ACP cartridges specifically for self-defense purposes with the smaller handguns that citizens are more likely to carry in mind. This particular round uses a 185 grain jacketed hollow-point projectile that is loaded to fly with a muzzle velocity of 900 feet-per-second; this speed is typically seen with heavier bullets and means that these rounds will produce a recoil impulse that is both light and smooth. In some cases, 185 grain bullets are more reliable with the spring systems used in compact .45 Auto pistols. Each projectile is secured in a reloadable brass casing that is equipped with a clean-igniting Boxer primer.

PMC's JHP design uses a deep cavity with a skived jacket and curved mouth which provides smoother feeding at steep angles. The jacket's skiving promotes dependable expansion which helps to drop a threat faster by increasing the bullet's diameter during entry. This effect creates a wider wound cavity in the target and slows the bullet down so that maximum energy from the bullet is deposited into vital areas rather than simply passing through them. PMC ammunition comes from South Korea and is manufactured using self-contained processes that maintain total control over component creation. Buying in bulk with this 1,000 round case gives a shooter plenty of ammunition for break-in periods, regular practice, and carry magazine rotation.
