This package contains 50 rounds of Federal LE Tactical .40 Smith & Wesson ammunition. Each round is loaded with a 165 grain expanding full metal jacket (EFMJ) projectile. This unique bullet design was developed to provide consistent terminal expansion while reducing the risk of collateral damage. Engineered with a scored full-metal nose enclosing an internal rubber tip, EFMJ bullets are built to collapse on impact, expanding the projectile diameter and carving a massive soft tissue wound. Because these projectiles are fully jacketed, they will not fill with barrier material. The result is excellent penetration and controlled expansion for dependable threat elimination.
These factory fresh rounds feature low-flash propellants ideal for preserving precious night vision in low-light tactical situations. With a smooth profile, these rounds promote smooth feeding and function, especially in modern semi-automatic firearms. Non-corrosive, reloadable, boxer primed, and featuring nickel plated brass casings, these round produce muzzle velocities of 1080 feet per second and muzzle energies of 427 foot pounds.
