5000rds – 22 LR CCI Quiet 40gr. LRN Ammo
CCI Ammunition 40 Grain Lead Round Nose (LRN) Ammo Details
CCI, or Cascade Cartridges Inc., is one of the most prominent rimfire ammo makers in the United States and also provides primers to some of the best centerfire brands around. Their .22 LR cartridges are of such high quality, that some firearms manufacturers encourage their customer to only run CCI ammo through their guns. These "Quiet-22" rounds are CCI's approach to low-noise plinking and contain a minuscule amount of powder; this results in very low muzzle report without the use of a suppressor. The only downside is that shooters may have to manually cycle their semi-automatic rifles and pistols. The .22 Long Rifle cartridge uses a rimfire brass casing with a clean-burning primer mixture and a 40-grain lead round nose (LRN) projectile. The LRN feeds cleanly, and flies with enough force for short range hunting and target shooting. This kind of ammunition is ideal for discreet, fun plinking with bolt-action rifles and single-action revolvers like the Heritage Rough Rider or Ruger Single Six. While it's not necessary, the rounds are whisper quiet when run through a suppressor.
