500rds – 22 LR Winchester Wildcat 40gr. LRN Ammo

500rds – 22 LR Winchester Wildcat 40gr. LRN Ammo Details

This 22 LR cartridge from Winchester’s Wildcat line of ammunition features a 40 grain lead round nose projectile, the original weight for its caliber which provides a good balance of recoil and power. The versatile nature of a lead round nose bullet stems primarily from its low cost -- because this is an affordable round, you won’t have to weigh your finances heavily before justifying issuing a shot at whatever you reason would be better off freshly perforated. This bullet’s profile provides good impact energy, and although lead has got the ability to deform and tumble somewhat within soft targets, it still won’t expand.

Which isn’t to say a varmint wouldn’t much rather not have one of these rounds’ bullets inside of them! With this round’s supersonic 1,255 fps muzzle velocity it’s accurate enough either for squirrel detail or just casual plinking and target practice. The round’s non-corrosive rimfire primed brass casing will preserve your rifle’s or pistol’s bore and action from accumulating lifespan decreasing caustic residue, and its powder burns clean as well. You’re going to think highly of this cartridge from Winchester.
