5000rds – 22 LR CCI Standard Velocity 40gr. LRN Ammo
5000rds – 22 LR CCI Standard Velocity 40gr. LRN Ammo Details
This isn’t a brick of 22 LR ammunition. It is a brick wall. Five thousand rounds of CCI’s insanely popular Standard Velocity series ammunition, all lined up in pretty clear plastic boxes and just begging you to get your groove on.CCI (i.e. the United States’ preeminent authority on rimfire ammunition) loads this 22 LR to the same velocity as their higher-priced competition-grade Green Tag ammo. That makes it the more agreeable way to train if you favor Green Tag for competition!
But what if you don’t give two figs in a beggar’s hat about Green Tag? Will you still enjoy firing Standard Vel? Yes. This high-quality target-grade ammunition is loaded with closely standardized 40 grain lead round nose projectiles, and delivers at subsonic muzzle velocity which is (A) quieter than supersonic, and (B) immune to the transonic destabilization which harms the long-range accuracy of the same.
This cartridge’s advertised G1 ballistic coefficient is 0.120. That stands for 85% velocity conservation and 83% energy retention at 100 yards.
