Remington Ammunition 230 Grain Jacketed Hollow-Point (JHP) Ammo Details

If you want a quiet load to run through your suppressor while pulling double duty as a personal defense round, then this bulk pack of .45 ACP from Remington's HTP line is perfect for you. HTP, or High Terminal Performance, is Remington's most recent development in defensive ammunition and aims to give shooters the latest in ballistic performance alongside premium grade components. These cartridges are assembled using factory new brass fitted with non-corrosive primers which are sealed around their circumference gap in order to protect the powder mixture inside from moisture.

Each of these .45 Auto rounds is crowned with a 230 jacketed hollow-point (JHP) projectile. The HTP JHP bullet design uses a wide cavity bordered by inward-cut serrations which divide the jacket (and small portions of lead) into six petals. This design aims to provide reliable, threat-ending expansion on impact even at its relatively low velocity of 835 feet-per-second out of a five inch barrel. That same subsonic velocity will pair excellently with your favorite .45 ACP silencer for low noise and pleasant resonance; shooters may find this useful for polite plinking as well as on-board hearing protection.
