500rds – 44 Mag Remington HTP 240gr. SJHP Ammo

Remington Ammunition 240 Grain Semi-Jacketed Hollow-Point (SJHP) Ammo Details

Remington's High Terminal Performance (HTP) lineup gives shooters an excellent option for self defense and light hunting. Each of these .44 Magnum rounds propels a 240 grain projectile at 1,180 feet-per-second from a four inch test barrel; the light weight and standard pressure charge provide a flat trajectory, manageable recoil, and threat-stopping energy from carry-size revolvers. HTP cartridges utilize high quality components such as reloadable brass casings, and clean-burning primers. The projectile chosen for this round profile is a semi-jacketed hollow-point (SJHP) design which features a large, exposed portion of lead with a hollow cavity at its center.

A rounded ogive offers smooth feeding into cylinders or side-gates while a toothed, crimp cannelure prevents setback in order to preserve accuracy and dependable ignition. The SJHP's flat head makes it safe for storage in lever-action rifle magazines. During entry into a target, the relatively light bullet will experience a controlled rate of expansion that allows it to penetrate deep into vital areas before depositing most of it's energy. This results in quicker, humane drops with little chance of a lethal exit wound. Remington is one of the oldest firearms and ammunition manufacturers in the United States and is responsible for dozens of platforms and calibers in use around the world today.
