Hornady Ammunition 300 Grain XTP Ammo Details

Hornady’s Custom line of ammunition strives to give shooters the same sort of quality they would be rewarded with had they toiled over a reloading press. Even a cursory inspection of this 44 Magnum round reveals that the Nebraskan experts take such a mission seriously, but the self-defense load is laden with even more features than meet the eye!

This round is well-suited for personal protection owing to its 300 grain XTP projectile. The bullet’s jacket is divided into precise sections via serrations and also has varying thicknesses engineered throughout its entire length. Both features serve to make certain that expansion is as reliable as can be, and that the jacket shields the lead in the XTP’s nose cavity promotes even more consistent terminal performance. The XTP is an accurate bullet on top of that, with a cannelure that ensures precise crimping, a concentric gilding metal jacket, and a swaged lead core without voids that could have thrown off balance. This round is brass cased and reloadable, and its primer and propellant are expertly matched to best suit its caliber.
