Each factory fresh cartridge is features the famous XTP (Extreme Terminal Performance) hollow point. One of Hornady’s most popular bullet designs, the XTP delivers exceptional accuracy and excellent weight retention. XTP bullets are engineered to withstand incredible velocities and still deliver controlled expansion and deep penetration. These proprietary projectiles hit hard, penetrate deeply, and carve massive wound channels for quick, humane kills.

These Custom loads also feature Hornady’s own reloadable brass cases, which offer reliable feeding and corrosion resistance and is designed to function under maximum chamber pressures. Hornady Custom ammo is also made with a unique propellant blend specially formulated to produce optimal pressure, velocity, and consistency. Non-corrosive boxer primers are selected to rapidly and reliably ignite the powder charge.

This ammunition produces a consistent muzzle velocity of 1500 feet per second and 993 foot pounds of muzzle energy.

This is a solid bullet. It's great for personal defense from my 44magnum handgun, and also great for hunting from my lever action 44 rifle. I took a buck with my rifle and dropped the buck right in its tracks.

This 200gr. doesn't smack you around as much as the 180gr., but I like it anyway, it's still 44 magnum ammo, and I love it!
