.243

The 243 Winchester (aka 243 Win) was introduced during the 1950s as a medium and small game hunting cartridge, and remains exceptionally popular among American hunters to this day. If you’re taking aim at rodents or predators, consider using a lighter 58 grain polymer tipped bullet like the Hornady V-MAX (heavier 75+ grain V-MAX loads are also available for long-range varmint hunting). For deer, an 80+ grain soft point or Triple-Shock X (TSX) bullet is advisable.

Very accurate. For coyote or deer. Walking up on a buck I shot. Coyote was on blood trail called him he stopped. Hit him in the neck. All it took

I have hunted most of my life. I'm 74. I've bought 80-grain, and 100-grain. Today I prefer the 100-grain. I shot a couple of big Bucks with it. Dropped them in their tracks. The last Buck still had the Sweet Potato in his mouth. That's dead fast! I was in the military for several years. Special unit. I got to experience rifles and guns.

Very accurate ammunition grouping well inside of one inch at 100 yards actually grouping inside of 1 and 1/2 in at 300 yards consistently very very precise shooter can't complain at all more than enough energy for any deer at least out to 400 yards from my own experience took it down in 30 ft from point of contact 403 yards! I am very very happy with this I have narrowed my choices between Hornady and Remington they have outperformed everybody else's!
