Hornady Ammunition 90 Grain ELD-X Ammo Details

It’d take a lot of gall to make a Precision Hunter round that’s either imprecise or wanting in its deadliness. This 243 Win cartridge by Hornady is neither, because it features its creator’s 90 grain ELD-X projectile, an effective solution for hunting at practically any distance.

The ELD-X sports a list of features that each enhance its accuracy considerably. Its secant ogive profile and tapered base are both ballistically efficient, and thus enable the ELD-X to preserve its velocity farther downrange and inflict greater energy on impact. Its AMP jacket is extremely concentric, and that its Heat Shield tip will keep its fearsome symmetry no matter how violently air friction heats it guarantees you the meplat needed to take care of business.

The ELD-X has an InterLock ring that keeps its core and jacket firmly rooted together, so even at high velocity impact you can depend on up to 60 percent weight retention. At lower velocity impact (typically at about 400 yards) the ELD-X’s polymer tip reliably initiates exceptional expansion, giving you the deep and wide terminal performance needed to take game with little issue.
