Remington Ammunition 125 Grain Semi-Jacketed Hollow-Point (SJHP) Ammo Details

Remington’s High Terminal Performance (HTP) line of ammunition provides everything that your EDC needs to do the only job that it ever needs to do. This 38 Special +P cartridge features a 125 grain projectile, a lighter bullet for its caliber that’ll give your accuracy a welcome boost while you’re squeezing out follow up shots. The bullet’s incomplete jacket lessens bore fouling to further benefit accuracy, promotes penetration through a variety of media, and directs the expansion caused by its hollow point nose cavity.

This case of ammo is affordably priced, so you’ll be able to get comfortable with your new self-defense load’s performance before you’d stake anything on it. It’s never uncomforting to have a whole case of any kind of ammo at your disposal, either. This round’s price tag doesn’t denote poor quality -- a first rate brass casing, regular propellant charge, and non-corrosive Kleanbore primer all come together to make this round a lot like a premium one. Please note that this is +P ammo, too, and that you’d better not load it in a firearm that can’t handle it.

Gel test Results

We tested this Remington Ammunition 38 Special ammo by firing five rounds with a S&W 640 with a -inch barrel into calibrated Clear Ballistics gelatin. Of those five rounds, we discovered the ammo penetrated an average of 14.78-inches into the gelatin. Our test rounds ended the test with an average expanded diameter of 0.44-inches, retaining 100% of the projectile's original weight.

This is my go to carry round for all my 38 & 357 Revolvers .

This excellent ammo at a great price! In my 6" Model 27 groups were excellent at 25 and 50 yards. This Plus P load is snappy and will make an excellent small game as well as defense round.

I would recommend this to anybody. Do yourself a favor burn this thru your standard 357 Magnum guns and you will see your shooting improve, and your guns will stay tight longer.

I carry a .357 chiappa 2" and use this ammo for concealed cary and Personal defense. I have used gallon water jugs and is the best penetration rounds I have purchased. Outstanding round!
