This 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge from Hornady’s Precision Hunter line of ammunition features a 143 grain ELD-X projectile. The bullet boasts several features which give it match accuracy, including its streamlined secant ogive profile, ballistic coefficient enhancing boat tail design, and nearly perfectly concentric AMP jacket. This bullet’s Heat Shield polymer tip further ensures that it will slice through the air because it will not warp when confronted with aerodynamic heating, so it will always maintain its acute meplat.

At lower velocity impact, its Head Shield tip drives down deeply within the bullet’s core to initiate rapid and devastating expansion. At high velocity impact, the bullet’s InterLock ring binds its heavy jacket and core together to assure no less than 50 percent weight retention. This versatile bullet is complemented greatly by its specially formulated propellant which creates an optimum chamber pressure regardless of the temperature it is ignited in, as well as its responsive Boxer primer and uniform new production brass casing.
