When you want to get really serious about target practice and competitive shooting, you want the bullet on this 45 Long Colt: a semi-wadcutter, with the broad nose and sharp shoulder it takes to cut an unambiguous and easily scored hole through a paper target. This round’s 225 grain bullet is plenty accurate with its voidless lead composition and semi-conic profile, and it’s even easier to load up than a traditional, untapered wadcutter.

If you are buying this round for the service pistol you used during the Buffalo Hunters' War, then we thank you for your service and applaud you for being at least 160 years old and able to use the internet. If you’re buying this round for a classic pistol or a reproduction, you’ll appreciate how its clean burning propellant and Kleanbore primer both reduce residue buildup.
