500rds – 22 LR Aguila Target Competition 40gr. LRN Ammo

500rds – 22 LR Aguila Target Competition 40gr. LRN Ammo Details

Aguila was established in collaboration with Remington’s Arms in 1961, and started making rimfire ammunition right from the get-go. Now they’re on their own, and they’ve made quite a name for themselves by specializing in the stuff that 22 shooters pine for.

This 22 LR round is all about straight shooting. Its 40 grain LRN projectile exits the muzzle at 1,080 fps, and has a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.173. Zero in at 300 yards and such a bullet will still be flying at 800 fps when it hits its target. An LRN doesn’t expand, but its 0.116 sectional density is still adequate to put a smaller varmint down for good.

Aguila’s rimfire primers are designed to meet the lofty standards of Olympic level shooters. You probably don’t shoot as good as an Olympian, but with this round all you’ll lack are the skill and talent. Aquila’s brass cycles fluidly through bolt action, lever action, and semi-auto alike.
