250rds – 22 LR Aguila 40gr. CPRN Ammo

250rds – 22 LR Aguila 40gr. CPRN Ammo Details

Aguila makes a variety of ammunition including 5.56 for the Mexican military and mini-shells that effectively increase a shotgun’s capacity. But they’ll always be best known for their extremely reliable 22 LR ammo. Aguila’s own rimfire primers are developed to meet an Olympic shooter’s high standards, and we receive overwhelmingly positive reviews of their ammo!

This particular 22 LR cartridge is outfitted with a 40 grain copper-plated round nose bullet. That very thin layer of copper prevents the lead which forms most of the bullet from actually contacting the bore, thus preserving a firearm’s accuracy throughout the course of the day.

A round nose bullet is not designed for terminal expansion. It’s still capable of transferring plenty of energy on impact – especially when loaded to a supersonic muzzle velocity. The chamber pressure produced by this round is adequate to cycle a semi-auto including the 10/22 and G44.

Aguila’s ammo is nonmagnetic and non-corrosive. In conjunction with its copper-plated bullet, this round’s low residue propellant helps to keep a rifle or pistol even cleaner!
