20rds – 6.8 SPC Prvi Partizan 115gr. FMJBT Ammo Details

Prvi Partizan is based in Serbia, a country where we can’t imagine the 6.8mm Remington SPC has become very popular. But man, does Prvi Partizan ever load a wide variety of rifle cartridges! Here PPU gives American shooters just what they need to put the end result of the Enhanced Rifle Cartridge program to the test.

This round presents a 115 grain FMJBT bullet. It’s nothing too fancy in its own right, just an evenly distributed lead core, concentric gilding metal jacket, and ballistically efficient boat tail. PPU loads this range bullet to a muzzle velocity of 2,624 fps. (If that figure sounds arbitrary, it’s only because PPU loads to metric values – 800 meters per second, in this case.)

At that velocity this bullet tears out of a 24.02” (610 mm) barrel with a G7 ballistic coefficient of 0.154. If you were testing the limits of the 6.8 SPC’s range and set up a 500 yard target, you’d find the bullet going 1,389 fps when you score a direct hit. At 200 yards it’s a flat shooter, needing to rise only about 2.5” in its trajectory.

Some people hear “Serbia” and think of old Soviet milsurp ammo with corrosive primers, but that’s not fair to PPU’s new production ammo which is exclusively non-corrosive Boxer primed. More than a few handloads sport PPU’s original headstamp – even if it means you don’t shop with us for a while, we recommend reloading this ammo’s brass!
