Each round is loaded with a 250 grain Barnes X hollow point projectile. Constructed of solid, heat treated copper, these projectiles deliver 100 percent weight retention and deep, dependable penetration, even when shot through tough steel barriers.
These unique projectiles feature a deep forward cavity which causes the nose to peel back forming four separate razor-sharp petals. When viewed head on, the expanded petals look just like the letter “X”, giving the Barnes X its name. Since there is no separate jacket and no lead core, the Barnes X bullet holds together to deliver 100 percent weight retention and deep, hard-hitting penetration.
This 100 percent American made ammunition is lead-free, non-corrosive, boxer primed, and features reloadable aluminum casings. Each round delivers a muzzle velocity of 1650 feet per second and 1512 foot pounds of energy.
