These affordable .44 Magnum cartridges are designed to take medium game like whitetail deer and big cats but may also be utilized for personal protection. Federal manufactures these rounds using quality components such as reloadable brass cases and clean-igniting Boxer primers. Each casing bears a 180 grain jacketed hollow-point (JHP) projectile with a toothed cannelure at its crimp point and an exposed lead tip. Crimping to a toothed cannelure keeps the round secured under recoil which would otherwise jostle the round and mar accuracy.
