This 40 S&W cartridge features Remington’s 180 grain brass jacketed hollow point. Its nose diameter is narrower than usual, and that serves a very important purpose: It ensures optimal alignment with the bore, so the rifling can most efficiently engage with the bullet throughout ignition. That alongside each BJHP bullet’s consistent weight and dimensions delivers what is essentially match-grade accuracy.

The BJHP’s rigid jacket is hot bonded to its lead core. The two components are essentially inseparable as the result, which ensures the BJHP will retain virtually 100% of its weight throughout penetration – even if a barrier separates the shooter from the threat. The BJHP’s notched jacket needs relatively little energy to achieve full expansion, which makes this ammo plenty effective beyond close range.
