This 30-06 hunting round by Federal showcases Nosler’s renowned Partition projectile. The bullet takes its name from the wall its jacket forms to separate its core into two discrete parts. The front ends in a soft point, and upon impact delivers wide mushrooming that has a great chance of knocking out a vital when directed correctly; The rear section serves the purpose of assured weight retention during penetration, so the Partition can go deep as well.The Partition’s copper alloy jacket is fully tapered, with a thin mouth that ruptures instantly at the moment of impact. The jacket thickens gradually along its side to control expansion, and the special crimp locks at its base ensures that the bullet doesn’t deform to preserve its accuracy. This round additionally features Federal’s own nickel plated brass casing, so it is resilient and cycles smoothly through a rifle. A responsive primer and reliable propellant charge round things out nicely. This round is exceptional for larger game at closer ranges, and just as effective for boar and whitetail as well.
