PMC Ammunition 147 Grain Jacketed Hollow-Point (JHP) Ammo Details

PMC doesn’t have quite the same presence in the U.S. as brands like Remington and Winchester. And rightly so! But the South Korean manufacturer is rapidly gaining ground, and it owes its success to one fact: their ammo is excellent, and so too is its price tag.

If you’ve already been impressed by PMC’s Bronze series range ammo, then you’ll no doubt think just as highly of their SFX sub-brand. This is specialized self-defense ammunition, featuring jacketed hollow point bullets that are engineered to feed every bit as smoothly as round nose FMJs.

Reliability alone doesn’t cut it during a life-or-death fracas, of course, which is why PMC’s Starfire bullet lives up to its name. Its broad terminal expansion forces the bullet into the shape of a flat star (the final shape looks very similar to that of the HST bullet, which is widely held to be one of the absolute best for defense). The Starfire JHP’s high weight retention only suits it for defense even further, as it reliably conserves the momentum it needs to pierce barriers and internal organs alike.

This ammo is loaded with first-rate supporting components, including PMC’s own fine brass. Keep any empty shells you wind up with after target practice, because they are reloadable.
