This 1,000 round bulk case of .223 Remington ammunition will you set up nicely for training, plinking, or many seasons of varmint hunting! Tula ammo is manufactured at Russia's oldest plant which has history stretching back as far as the year 1712. Their vast experience and focus on quality military supply affords them the opportunity to create inexpensive rounds that are tailored for American hunters and recreational shooters. To this end, these cartridges are built upon non-reloadable steel casings that have a light coat of polymer which resists rust in storage and buffers contact with chambers, bolts, and extractors for reduced parts wear. Each case is fitted with a clean-igniting Berdan primer and houses a 55 grain hollow-point (HP) projectile.
The HP bullet's weight matches that of many popular choices in .223 and 5.56mm NATO, including M193, for familiar holds, easy zeroing, and light recoil. With a hollow cavity and thin jacket up front, the projectile is intended for rapid expansion upon impact with a target which causes heavier bleeding and more rapidly incapacitates groundhogs, javelina, and all manner for farm pests. The bullet design has the added advantage of a covered base which reduces lead fouling for faster cleaning and more accurate shooting sessions.
Unlike previous products, Tula's new rounds feature zinc plated jackets which are silver in color. The distinctive coating is applied chemically rather than mechanically and allows for more uniform bullet dimensions that yields more consistent groups downrange.
