Silver Bear Ammunition 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details

223 Ammo - Silver Bear 55 Grain FMJ

These economical rounds are manufactured at the Barnaul Machine Plant, one of the largest cartridge suppliers in Russia. Silver Bear ammo gets its name from the highly-polished zinc plated steel casings. Designed to prevent corrosion, the special zinc plating works to extend ammunition shelf-life, making these rounds an ideal choice for long-term storage.

Each of these 20 .223 rounds is loaded with a 55 grain full metal jacket (FMJ) projectile. Perfect for range training, tactical drills, and target practice, these loads perform well and are available for a fraction of the cost of standard brass ammunition.

This ammunition is Berdan primed, non-corrosive, and non-reloadable. Each round delivers a consistent muzzle velocity of 3130 feet per second. With smooth feeding and sure-fire ignition, it's easy to forget how inexpensive this ammunition actually is.

Actually good ammo, put about 120 rounds through my Bushmaster AR and no problems at all. Definitely recommend this ammunition to those on a budget, or just looking for cheap ammo to blow through for fun.

This ammo is pretty good. Accuracy is decent and is more than accurate enough for hitting a 6" target at 60 yards, it functioned flawlessly in my 20" hbar Armalite using both standard GI mags and P mags. The only down side is it is a bit dirtier than other ammo, it is Russian ammo after all, but for the price it's great plinking ammo.

Severely short-stroked in my COLT HBAR 16" Carbine Target. I tried different magazines and came up with the same problem. I even loaded up some 855 in same mags and had no problems. Just seemed very underpowered....
