20rds – 223 Rem Remington UMC 45gr. JHP Ammo
Remington Ammunition 45 Grain Jacketed Hollow-Point (JHP) Ammo Details
Remington’s UMC line of ammunition is named after the Union Metallic Cartridge Company – another manufacturer that Big Green merged with over 100 years ago. When you see the UMC label on a box of ammo, you know it’s factory fresh, noncorrosive and reloadable, and produced in accordance with Americans’ favorite specifications! This 223 Rem cartridge is loaded with a very light 45 grain bullet. Whereas the more common 55 grain bullet typically achieves a muzzle velocity in the ballpark of 3,240 fps, this round’s little bullet tears out of the barrel at a rate of 3,550 fps. As such it’s going to give you a level trajectory at close range. If you zero in at 150 yards, the bullet’s trajectory should only have to rise above the muzzle line by about 1.04”!
The flat-shooting jacketed hollow point makes a great choice for hunting small varmints. It’s also priced right for target practice, and you’ll be able to patronize any range you like thanks to the JHP’s completely steel-free and nonmagnetic design. Every UMC cartridge is loaded with a reliable Boxer primer and virgin brass case. Great for AR-15s, Mini-14s, and all 5.56x45 firearms as well!
