20rds - 223 Federal LE Ballisticlean 55gr. RHT Frangible

Federal Ammunition 55 Grain Frangible Ammo Details

Engineered to provide law enforcement personnel with a safe and affordable practice round, Federal LE Ballisticlean is premium training ammunition. Each factory fresh .223 Remington cartridge is loaded with a 55 grain Reduced Hazard Training (RHT) frangible projectile. These non-toxic, lead-free bullets break apart upon impact with a metal target, significantly reducing the risk of dangerous ricochet and backsplash. Leaving the muzzle at a velocity of 3100 feet per second, each round generates a muzzle energy of 1174 foot pounds.

Every round features a reloadable brass case, copper-plated boxer primer, and clean-burning propellant to reduce barrel fouling and increase reliability. Designed to replicate the recoil and performance standards of Federal’s duty and defense ammo, these loads offer the safest and most realistic training possible. Each round has a “NT” (non-toxic) headstamp to clearly identify it as a training round and preventing confusion with self-defense ammunition.

Federal has been manufacturing high-quality ammunition for almost 100 years. With headquarters located in Anoka, Minnesota, Federal is one of the largest modern ammunition companies in the world. All Federal Ballisticlean ammunition meets or exceeds OSHA and EPA standards. Each package contains 20 rounds.
