90rds – 5.56 Federal American Eagle AR 62gr. Clipped M855 FMJ Ammo Details

These 5.56mm rounds made at the Lake City plant are identical to ammunition which has been used by NATO-affiliated military forces for decades. Each cartridge is constructed using a reloadable brass casing which is fitted with a hardened primer and topped off with a 62 grain full metal jacket (FMJ) projectile with a mild steel penetrating core; this bullet has a toothed cannelure which keeps it firmly seated under recoil in order to maintain consistent precision. Hard primers provide safety-assured function with M16/M4/AR platform rifles due to their free-floating firing pins. As per specification, the casings are annealed for proper chamber seal and safer reloading while the primers are adorned with sealant which protects the rounds' propellant from moisture.

The green-tipped M855 projectile is very common to both 5.56x45mm and .223 Remington loads and will display similar ballistics to many rounds intended for practice, hunting, self-defense, and even precision shooting. That means that these rounds will be quite accurate when fired from the most common barrel twist rates and match various compensating reticle designs used in popular scopes. Furthermore, these cartridge come loaded on clips which hold 10 rounds apiece and are compatible with both surplus USGI spoon loaders and the modern MagLula StripLula speed loader. This particular entry in the Federal American Eagle line brings top notch quality to budget-conscious shooters with a product that has been tailored towards the most popular shooting trend in the United States.
