357 Mag Glaser 80 Grain Blue Safety Slug Ammo
These Glaser Blue Safety Slugs were originally developed for use by US Sky Marshalls. Needing pistol ammunition both practical and safe for use aboard aircraft, these rounds were developed to strike a balance between penetration and fragmentation.
Each of these 357 Magnum rounds is loaded with a unique 80 grain rifled slug. Engineered with a precision lead core encased in a thin-walled jacket, these projectiles resist dangerous ricochet off hard surfaces. Compressed #12 shot is used in construction. In conjunction with a soft polymer tip, these projectiles are designed to break apart on interior walls, dumping energy as it moves to reduce the risk of injuring innocent bystanders in adjacent rooms.
Ideal for use as a personal protection round, Glaser Blue Safety Slugs are perfect for use in densely-populated areas, including urban settings, apartment buildings, and office complexes.
Each of these 6 rounds produces a consistent muzzle velocity of 1600 feet per second and a muzzle energy of 455 foot pounds and delivers penetration of five to seven inches in the International Ballistic Wound Association (IWBA) protocol testing. Also, designed to reduce felt recoil, these loads improve accuracy and allow for faster shot-to-shot recovery.
This ammunition is factory fresh. Each cartridge is loaded with a non-corrosive boxer primer and features a reloadable brass casing. The round nose profile of these loads promote smooth and easy feeding and extraction.
