5rds – 20 Gauge Federal Freight Train Copper 2-3/4" 275gr Sabot Slug Ammo Details

What do we like? Hunting deer with a 20 Gauge rifled bore shotgun! Excellent accuracy and commanding, knock-em-dead terminal performance, too! What do we dislike? Incurring hefty fines for using lead projectiles in areas where they are outlawed! What do we want? Federal Freight Train Copper ammunition, which is most certainly not intended for smoothbore shotguns!

This shell’s all-copper slug is light, fast, aerodynamic and deadly. At just 275 grains (i.e. 5/8 ounces), the slug is able to tear out of the barrel at a brisk velocity of 1,700 fps. The slug’s premium plastic sabot keeps it correctly aligned with the bore, which maximizes its in-flight stability to promote better overall accuracy. The polymer tipped slug can actually hit 4” groups out to ranges of up to 200 yards. That’s tight!

The Freight Train Copper slug’s monolithic composition gives it heightened resistance to fragmentation. That helps the projectile conserve the momentum it needs to stab a deep hole through tough game. The slug’s tip, nose cavity and aggressive skiving enable it to spread out wide following relatively low-velocity impact. It’ll hit with almost 1,000 ft lbs of kinetic energy at 125 yards, which’ll do real clean work on any medium game animal so long as you’re aiming like a good hunter should.
