This 12 Gauge shell is from Remington’s Slugger line of ammunition, and it’s fittingly loaded with a one ounce lead slug. The slug is ever so slightly oversized, so it will neatly conform to the interior of a smooth bore that it may more accurately exit the muzzle at a velocity of 1,560 fps. Its alignment is further improved by the gas sealing polymer disc that it sits upon. You’ll also find a slugger load works great in a rifled bore or a barrel fitted with a choke as well.

A Slugger has a noticeably flatter trajectory than another comparable slug, which the shooter will find of great use whether they’d employ it for deer hunting or self-defense alike.
