50rds – 9mm Federal Champion 124gr. FMJ Ammo
50rds – 9mm Federal Champion 124gr. FMJ Ammo Details
Anyone has the potential to shoot like a champion. The only thing they have to do first is train like a champion – regularly, relentlessly, and with reliable range ammunition such as what you see here!Federal loads their Champion target ammo the more economical way: with plated full metal jacket projectiles. The plated jacket has a welcome effect on the cartridge’s price tag, but it does come with a caveat. Because it is weaker, it is possible for a barrel or compensator port to shave off a piece of the plated FMJ’s jacket during ignition. You don’t want to get hit with a sharp little piece of copper (trust me on that), which is why you should consider this ammo incompatible with firearms that have ported parts.
Aside from its plated jacket, the FMJ is totally normal. It weighs in the middle of the 9mm spectrum at 124 grains. Its muzzle velocity is close to supersonic, but still comfortably below the threshold by around 35 fps. The FMJ is also completely steel free, so it’ll be welcome at ranges where magnetic bullets aren’t.
